A Discourse In Healing Meditation 2:
Thank you for initiating a discussion. Great Thoughts and I will try to expand on it. Maharishis, and Yogananda's prayer practices closely similar. Using the breath as a way of opening deeper into the Divine. Although I have not researched or read their teachings extensively, I am a little familiar with it.
So much I share is my own experience or realizations. My posting was about staying in the opening of allowing the Divine more. Yes limitations/belief systems do rise up from the varying layers of human consciousness, yet our intention is to still stay in the original intention to open more in the Divine. As one stays in this opening, the Divine/Love being always the healer provides all the support needed to reconcile these belief systems. Quite often though, the mind during prayer will interfere and then assume a protective role and will then take control and try to rationalize, judge, justify, etc. and because of that the intention to open deeper into the Divine has been intentionally ceased and now the focus is completely on the belief system and the epiphany it has realized, and in a lot of cases a person feels uplifted as a discovery, but they have probably only scratched the surface. For the Beliefs systems have played out, (recycled) in the disguise of many perceived separate things. Yet Divine opening has stop at a deeper layer of human consciousness, and healing has been stopped short, and this can be why a repetitive prayer practice is needed.
Such is the way of the duality world of unworthiness trying to be worthy of its Self. This also can be why many experience ups and downs on their spiritual journey. Yet if we stay in the intention of just opening into the Divine these belief systems are unraveled completely and understanding fully is just there instantly. Yet I also must admit easier said than done. I figured it out in hindsight as, "why didn't I just stay in the opening and kept on stopping at these little deeper layers of human consciousness". I believe Maharishi and Yogananda were about that as well. Their teachings were to provide a clear and smoother opening into the Divine, staying clear in intention and not allowing to get sidetracked with layered inner experiences. The human mind likes to usurp control and why quieting the mind is also something they taught extensively about. Not allowing the mind to be in control, surrender to the Divine. Yes the way of the world is a vast and happening place and just because it is, does not mean we must be a slave to its workings of duality and evolve by the imposed conditions of duality, (baby steps). If that was the case the divine would be subordinate to the many belief systems that we have used to justify why we are separate, unworthy of ourselves, and life is to be a struggle. And because the human mind is very intelligent it can contrive very elaborate justifications to suffer, etc..
So yes as we meditate to open, allow and notice the Divine, stuff will rise up and present, and when it does we allow more opening into the Divine, we do not change our focus and assume control and stop opening deeper and now try by our self to reconcile our experiences alone. We stay in the opening, which I know can be a challenge and why I say life is a journey of faith coming into complete Trust of all that we Truly are. Self-doubt gets in the way and then fear arises and we stop opening and then try to protect ourselves to stay safe. Yet the beliefs systems are just powerless thoughts and in allowing the Divine more they are realized for what they are and Truth becomes the way more. In Psychology it only addresses the present life experiences and the personality traits that were developed because of those past experiences of our present life that may have been regressed into the subconscious and through therapy, the fear or perceived challenge that has filled one's closet full of old bones needs to be cleaned out/ be addressed and dealt with. Yet with this type of valuable treatment, we as an individual are our healer so to speak with the help of a therapist to provide a safer and supportive role, yet we must do the clean up. Generally speaking that is, this can get very complicated and so we can debate this till the cows comes home and we can come up with many different conditions to validate many different directions.
Opening into the Divine goes into much deeper layers of human consciousness and also a clearer knowing of how we Truly move as creators and how we have moved inadvertently, creating the struggles of our experiences as part of a race mind consciousness. My posting was all about staying in the opening of the Divine and not about drifting away from our intention or stopping it, when these belief systems rise up. The more we stay clear in our intention the quicker and smoother it goes.
an example: I know of many that have been using a beautiful prayer practice for many years and have been dealing with the same issues for years, e.g. entities, repetitive life experiences, etc. They will do entity prayers, one after another sometimes a hundred times a day. They seem to be plagued with them, they get some relief through the prayer but then life happens and then they're back in the soup again. WHY? To me they have become focused on just a deeper layer of understanding and by not opening deeper they remain still in the environment of understanding that makes them repeatedly vulnerable to entities. They have not loosened their grip on the belief system that gives entities life and power. Consider, Yogananda is an enlightened Teacher yet entities still exist, apparently as an experience for many that practice a healing modality yet Yogananda has become enlightened/realized in his Oneness. Yet many will become so focused on entities and astral realms etc. and then in an immense justification of divine service they will devote their life to heal the un-manifest of entities. Never realizing how they have inadvertently has given purpose to entities as a creative intentional path of life experience. A bitter irony so to speak. Many I know of, struggle in their lives unfortunately, because they have stopped or greatly slowed in noticing their True Nature as more and the mind justifies it.
We are Whole and One, We are Divine, this is our Natural way. When we embrace and hold onto lesser beliefs of our Truth we live in struggle for this is the experience for every lie. A lie must constantly exude great effort and struggle to maintain itself for fear if it is uncovered it will no longer exist. The great fear of death that the little self experiences many times. The lie humanity has embraced and created from that has created a huge tangled birds nest we call the multidimensional human consciousness. The Divine is not of layers it is Whole and One pure existence void of any identity or it identities. I hope this helps. Keep the discussion going fine people. Every insight opens and refines for we are infinite in our vastness.
All My Love
Rob.
